Emily’s work records journeys taken through the Barbican over many months, using photographs and archival material to map out the ephemeral experiences that are encountered. The book and sculptures have become maps that give no direction, these maps are the outcome of the process taken to deconstruct images, whether they are taken of the Barbican itself or the way light falls and changes on any given day.
