Gooseberries_Hands_20 include a pair of fabric prints photographed hanging in the Barbican Conservatory. These works come alongside Safiye’s sketchbooks and research. This project feels out what it means to be lost in a moment in time and how that can explode one’s experience of a particular space.
Through research and images made on a scanner, Gooseberries_Hands_20 reflects on the ‘infinite distance and immediate presence’ found in moments of personal space and the objects that create it.
